Springtime Lambing Season
The lambing season runs during the springtime.
Guests are welcome to join Dyfrig on his morning walk around the sheep and lambs. You may even be lucky enough to see a lamb born in front of you! Some lucky guests already have.
Dyfrig checks that the animals are all healthy and assists sheep that need it during the birth. He makes sure that the lambs that have been born are feeding well.
Spring 2015 was the first time he’d invited our guests to join him and we’re not sure who enjoyed themselves the most! This year, we’re offering guests the chance to watch the lambing again.
Book to Stay During Lambing Season
Stay during March, April or May and visit the lambs. Dyfrig will take you into the field where he will show you the sheep and lambs. Some sheep may still be expecting. Some lambs will have just been born like the one in the image above.
He will tell you all about the animals and answer any questions you have. The lambs are born outdoors so make sure you bring your wellies!
To join Dyfrig on his morning walk, you can book with us at reception or during breakfast on the day.
Why not come for breakfast in our newly refurbished lounge before your walk? On a sunny day, you could even have breakfast outside!
Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to get up as early as Dyfrig! If you’re too late for breakfast, we also serve lunch & afternoon tea!
